Sales Attributes

Sales Attributes are a powerful way of customizing Lead Commerce to include additional internal and external information about your orders. These sorts of customizations can include internal ID numbers, notes and more.

Sales Attributes are also powerful in that you can add additional fields on the checkout of your storefront. This is helpful if you need to collect information such as special instructions or other pertinent information that you need in order to process an order for your customers.

Sales Attributes contain the following sections:

Name This is the internal name of the sales attribute.
Status This is the status of the sales attribute. It can be Active, Inactive and Archived.
Display Name This is the name of the attribute which will appear on the storefront checkout area.
Type This is the sales attribute type. The type can be dropdown, checkbox, small text area, large text area and date formats.
Show on Website (FLEX) This option when selected will display the attributes in the checkout area of your storefront.
Required This option when selected will require the attribute to be completed in order to place an order or save as a quote in the back office area.
Slug The Slug is used for adding the attribute to your storefront. See the FLEX theming guide for more information on slugs.
Attribute Order This field requires a number. This number will correlate to the order of the attribute. For example, a 6 will make this attribute show up before any attributes with a 7 or higher. If blank, it is set to 0 by default.
